Local studies for schools and groups

Schools, colleges, universities and adult education groups often need to study and learn about their local area. Local studies libraries can provide advice and study resources for both teachers and students. Local history societies and other clubs may also want to find out more about Local Studies.

Bamford School 1950 donated by Mr Bloxham

Class and group visits are very welcome but it's important to contact us to ensure that your visit will be a success.

Please email: record.office@derbyshire.gov.uk or call the Derbyshire Record Office tel: 01629 538347 or Chesterfield Local Studies tel: 01629 533400.

We're developing a range of talks which can be given at venues outside the library, and resources for historical and other events.
