Parking

There is parking for cars off High Street in Tibshelf, Ordnance Survey grid ref SK 439 608.

This is a great place for short walks and picnics or to begin exploring further afield. Tibshelf Ponds is at the centre of the Phoenix Greenways network, linking some of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire's most beautiful landscapes. From here you can begin to discover trails and country parks on foot or by bike. With a specially designed gallop and horse box parking, Tibshelf Ponds is also an ideal starting point for exploring on horseback.

What you might see

Managing the woodland and grasslands for wildlife means that there's something to see all year round.

In the meadows and along woodland paths you will find Bee Orchids and other wildflowers in the spring and summer.

More wildflowers mean that you will see an increasing number of butterflies and other insects. See which dragonflies and butterflies you can spot around the ponds and meadows and along the woodland paths.

The woodlands are great habitat for many birds including members of the finch and tit families. Listen for their song all year round.
