Walking for everyone

Ever wondered how far you could walk?
Ever wondered how to get started?
Ever wandered……through our countryside?

Bridge on the Archaeological Way

Walking is a great way to explore the countryside, take up exercise and to get around.

Whether out for fun, visiting friends and family or walking to work, there are over 300km of Greenways and 5,145km of other Rights of Way in Derbyshire to help you on your way.

Why not check out our walks and trails. Derbyshire is the perfect place to explore for people of all abilities. You can now hire a 'Tramper' scooter, designed to cope with rough and tough terrain.

They give people with limited mobility the chance to get out and about in the Derbyshire countryside, from our countryside sites.
