"We are actually stood at the bottom of where the actual track bed was, if you are looking both ways toward Cock Top towards Pilsley, looking towards school hill at Tibshelf this was one big cutting, if you could imagine yourself at the top of School Hill looking down here, you can imagine just how deep it was. Looking back towards Cock Top you notice the trail again goes around several corners. The actual route of the railway was straight on, through the cutting of Pilsley Station near Hardstoft road car park."
