Have your say on fracking

The law says we must make objective decisions on fracking applications and we're committed to being open and transparent about approaches made to us by fracking companies.

We'll widely publicise any planning application we receive for fracking development so local people have the opportunity to get involved and have their say.

If we do receive a planning application for fracking-related development, you'll be able to comment online, by email or in writing.

Members of the public who have made written representations on a particular application will also have the opportunity to speak at the planning committee meeting.

If you would like to have your say about central government's support for fracking you can contact your local MP or the government's Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
