Local aggregate assessments
The National Planning Policy Framework requires mineral planning authorities to produce an annual local aggregate assessment (LAA).
The purpose of the LAA is help us as the Mineral Planning Authority to plan for a steady and adequate supply of aggregate minerals by looking at trends in past production and take into account other local considerations.
This latest aggregate assessment was ratified by the East Midlands Aggregate Working Party in April 2026.
Authority monitoring reports
As part of the monitoring process, we're required to produce regular authority monitoring report to ensure that the plan is still delivering its vision and objectives.
The reports set out the performance of the local plan against a series of indicators from the local plan and the extent to which policies in the Derbyshire and Derby Minerals Local Plan are being achieved.
