The programme offers funded spaces for families who claim benefit related free school meals and are provided by a range of local organisations and groups.
All eligible children will require a code to book a space, places are available on a first come, first served basis, with priority given to children who receive benefit-related free school meals.
The holiday activities and food programme is funded by the Department for Education (DfE).
Grocery vouchers for families with children and care leavers
Eligible households were sent a grocery voucher worth £34 per child/young person between 23 and 27 January 2026 .
The vouchers were sent to parents/carers of children and young people who met the following criteria between 7 May 2025 and 12 November 2025:
Vouchers were sent predominantly by email, with a smaller number sent by text message where parents or carers do not use email.
If you have not received your voucher and you believe you are eligible, firstly please check your junk or spam email folder. If you still can’t see your voucher, your child’s school office may be able to help you quickly access your voucher code as all schools have all been sent copies of each of their eligible pupils’ unique voucher code.

Derbyshire's It's About Me holiday activity and food programme
Derbyshire's popular holiday activities and food programme It's about me Derbyshire will be back this winter, with clubs taking place between Friday 19 December 2025 and Friday 2 January 2026 (excluding bank holidays and weekends).
Bookings open on Monday 1 December 2025. If you want to book a funded space at an It's About Me holiday club, you'll need a unique HAF / IAM code, which is available from schools.
