The health and happiness of Derbyshire families is at the heart of the service that Families Information Service (FIS) provides. We are here to listen to your needs.
Family support
We can:
- signpost to other support services in Derbyshire such as the early help service
- direct you to other websites available to help you keep your family safe
- support you to ensure you are accessing all benefits you are entitled to
- assist children, young people and families who are affected by domestic abuse or violence to get support
- signpost to services and activities that support the wellbeing, mental and physical health of families, children and young people

Early years
For families with children aged 0 to 5 we can support you with:
Young people
The FIS team can signpost you to activities available during the school holidays, provide resources for mental health and wellbeing and help families experiencing concerns about young people's alcohol and substance use.
SEND
The Local Offer helps and supports children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities to be more confident in their communities and live independently.
Families with concerns about their children experiencing developmental delays can contact the special educational needs team for support.
