Safe and inclusive places for everyone
Our aim is to work with partners and communities to respond effectively to discrimination-based hate and abuse. This will ensure communities are inclusive places where everyone's contribution is recognised and celebrated.
Key areas of focus
We will be focussing on the following:
- tackling abuse and supporting victims of hate crime and domestic abuse
- addressing violence against women and girls
- challenging ignorance and promoting diversity as a positive aspect of society
- supporting ex-armed forces personnel and others to resettle in Derbyshire
- ensuring our communities are safe and accessible
Current delivery plan – year 1 activity
By the end of March 2023, we will have:
- commissioned joint domestic abuse support services for male and female victims and their children
- jointly commissioned the Pre-National Referral Mechanism support for victims of Modern Slavery
- identified how we can meet our duties in respect of armed forces personnel and their families
