Departmental planning

The 4 departmental service plans provide an overview of each department and set out the contributions they will make to delivering the vision, outcomes and strategic objectives outlined in the Council Plan.

Departmental plans are supported by detailed delivery plans documenting how the strategic objectives outlined in the summary plans will be delivered.

They are reviewed on an annual basis to be in line with the Council Plan and to ensure new departmental priorities are reflected. The plans for 2026 to 2029 were approved at Full Council on 11 February 2026.
