We're offering organisations the opportunity to apply for a single, non-recurring, one-year grant up to a maximum of £40,000 including VAT and all other costs for the 2027 to 2028 financial year.
Alcohol and drug recovery
Recovery is a process through which individuals gain and maintain control of their lives, improve their physical and mental wellbeing, develop purpose and meaning, and fulfil their potential.
Recovery Support Services contribute to this journey by providing practical and emotional assistance to individuals, building on existing strengths and assets, and creating positive benefits for both individuals, their families and the wider community.
Aim of the grant
The aim of this grant is to provide one year of funding for organisations that can deliver recovery support activities which strengthen social connections, promote wellbeing, and help people achieve and sustain recovery from alcohol or drug use.
This funding is open to organisations that can demonstrate how their proposed activities will support Derbyshire residents throughout their treatment journey and into long-term recovery.
We recognise that recovery support can take many forms and welcome innovative approaches that help people to build and sustain recovery.
Examples of recovery support activities may include:
- meaningful activities
- opportunities for connection, peer support and mutual support
- practical interventions that help people address barriers to recovery, such as housing, employment, education, volunteering, or skills development
- activities that help individuals build recovery capital, including personal, social, and community resources that support sustained recovery.
- initiatives delivered by, or in partnership with, Lived Experience Recovery Organisations (LEROs).
Our ambition is to develop a recovery-oriented system of care. This is where treatment services, recovery support services, and people with lived experience work together to improve outcomes for individuals, families, and communities affected by substance use.
Organisations will have to demonstrate how their proposal represents good value for money and how it'll help achieve positive recovery outcomes for Derbyshire residents.
Who can apply?
We welcome applications from organisations that can demonstrate their ability to deliver recovery support services for Derbyshire residents and meet the criteria outlined in the application pack
