Key Stage 2 music projectPupils at three Derbyshire Schools have written and produced their own songs as part of music project to encourage greener journeys as children travel to school.
Working with musician and composer John Gill and our school travel plan team, the pupils put pen to paper to create lyrics to promote the benefits of walking, cycling and car sharing to school, as well as how to stay safe on this journey.
The children's Travel Smart songs have now been recorded to CD as a teaching resource for other schools to use to promote sustainable and safe travel.
You can listen to a sample track below as well as download the scheme of work and associated Powerpoint − which compliments Unit 19 of the QCA music scheme.
