Latest snow update

This page was last updated at 4.10pm on Monday 2 April 2018.

Just one road into Derbyshire remains closed following heavy snow this morning.

We've re-opened A57 Snake Pass and we've cleared the Derbyshire stretch of A6024 Holme Moss. But the section of the A6024 maintained by Kirklees Council remains closed and we understand it is unlikely to re-open today.

As soon as we hear from our colleagues over the border we'll update our social media channels.

Check if your road is on a gritting route, when it was last gritted, and road closure information (opens in a new window).

We use the latest weather forecast from the Met Office (opens in a new window) to help us to decide where and when to grit.

Find a grit bin if you want to help keep roads and pavements in your area free from ice.

Check to see which of our schools are partially or fully closed and sign up to receive email alerts.
