We have a wide range of information and support available for local businesses regarding coronavirus. Providing a range of coronavirus advice for employers, businesses and charities about the furlough scheme, self-employed and business support. This includes information about local business grants, statutory sick pay, testing and more.
The UK government has also produced a number of resources to help businesses during the pandemic, including how to work safely during coronavirus. Public Health England have also produced a number of useful resources for businesses, including vaccination factsheet, question and answer videos, posters and an employer briefing sheet.
Ensuring your workplace is COVID-secure
Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have produced a range of guidance for employers, but workers and the self-employed may also find it useful. They give an overview of the measures businesses should do to help make workplaces COVID-secure. The HSE brief guide for workers can help businesses take steps to prevent COVID-19 spreading in the workplace. Translations of the page are also available. Supporting your staff to get vaccinated
The NHS website has the latest information regarding the coronavirus vaccine and vaccination program. Providing information about who can get the vaccine, how the vaccine is given, and how safe and effective the vaccine is. The website also provides information about how you can book or manage your COVID-19 vaccination.
If staff speak English as a second language, there are videos available in different languages about vaccination.
The NHS website also provides information regarding any concerns staff have about fertility or pregnancy.
Support with transport to vaccination appointments
We are working hard to make sure that residents stay safe and well during the COVID-19 pandemic and that includes making sure that everyone has access to a vaccine. This includes your staff.
That's why there is now help on offer if your employees are struggling to attend their vaccination appointment.

Financial and practical support for self-isolation
We know that financial security has an impact on whether employees feel able to self-isolate, and that self-isolation is key to reducing the spread of the virus. It is therefore important to support staff to know what financial support they can expect from you, and what support is also available from other sources.
Test and Trace support payments
We have a range of information about the self isolation support payments and other financial support staff and employees could access.
Derbyshire Discretionary Fund
If employees do not meet the requirements for self-isolation support, but still experience financial hardship due to self-isolation, the Derbyshire Discretionary Fund is also available and is much more flexible in terms of personal circumstances.

Business in the community have also developed the COVID-19: employee health and wellbeing toolkit which builds on the COVID-19: helping your employees stay well toolkit for employers. Providing practical guidance and actions for employers on a variety of topics relating to staff health and wellbeing applicable during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. Including information about:
- domestic abuse
- drugs, alcohol, and tobacco
- financial wellbeing
- mental health
- physical activity and healthy eating
- sleep and recovery
- social isolation and loneliness
Money, benefits and debt
The current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic may be causing you or your employees to worry about a wide range of topics including money, benefits and debt.
D2N2 is one of the largest Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) in England, and work closely with local authorities throughout Derbyshire. There is a variety of support available to businesses within Derbyshire on their website, including COVID-19:
- business interruption loan scheme (CBILS)
- future fund, bounce back loans scheme (BBLS)
- job retention scheme or
- self-employment income support schemes (SEISS)
Alternatively, businesses can access advice and information from the UK government website for business support during the pandemic.
