Lacemaker Day Centre is a new purpose built day service which operates within Lacemaker Court, Long Eaton.
The day centre offers a high standard of support for older people whose needs may arise from dementia, physical frailty or complex needs in an attractively designed enabling environment.
We provide a service to people from the Erewash community.
The day centre aims to:
- offer the 'cared for' person a variety of opportunities and a positive experience whilst away from home such as reminiscence sessions, crafts, and chair based exercise, cookery sessions and group discussions
- enable informal carers (family or friends) to take a break from their caring role on a regular basis
- work alongside local health professionals and the local council to support people to maximise their independence and improve their quality of life
- provide all activities tailored to the individual
- offer support to carers.
The service is open to Erewash residents.
The person must have been assessed by a health or social care professional and meet the national eligibility criteria for care and support services.
