There's a small car park on site, which includes 3 disabled spaces.
A ramp leads you into the building where there's a lift to take you up to the first floor. Here you'll find toilets, including an accessible toilet with baby changing facilities.
We also have a break room with a drinks machine, where you can relax and eat your own refreshments. Lockers are available to leave your belongings.
The building is suitable for wheelchair users and buggies. If you need to look at microfilm please let us know before your visit, so we can try and give you a machine with the easiest access.
For anyone bringing along children we have free activity sheets to help keep them occupied while you do your research.
Internet access
There's free wifi throughout the building and power points if you want to use your own laptop. Our public access computers give you free internet access.
Taking copies
You can make your own copies from microfilm and microfiche using our reader printer.
Digital copies can be taken, subject to the purchase of a digital copying agreement form, from microform, public access computers, with your own camera, mobile phone or downloaded to a USB stick.
