Libraries consultation events

We're holding events at our libraries across the county where you can find out more information about our proposals and have your say.

Question and answer event

We’re holding a public question and answer event on Saturday 21 July 2018 at Chesterfield Library between 2pm and 3.30pm.

There will be a presentation followed by a question and answer session where audience members will get the opportunity to quiz our Council Leader, Councillor Barry Lewis about the proposals for libraries. The free event will be ticket-only and you can apply for two tickets each, which will be assigned on a first-come, first served basis.

Register for the libraries question and answer event on the Eventbrite website.

You can also book in person at your local library, or over the phone by calling tel: 01629 533444.

If you would like to submit your questions in advance please email library.questions@derbyshire.gov.uk.

You’ll also be able to submit questions on the day and if there isn’t enough time to answer all of them, written responses will be posted after the event in our Libraries for Derbyshire section.

Focus groups

If you’re interested in getting more involved you can join your local focus group. You’ll be able to give your views, discuss the practicalities and challenges of running a community library, and decide if you want to take your interest further.
