About the area

This is a car park providing access to the Chesterfield Canal in Renishaw. Chesterfield Canal is widely recognised as one of the most beautiful and varied waterways in England. The towpath is called The Cuckoo Way and is ideal for walking along its entire 46 mile length from Chesterfield to West Stockwith.

Snapshot surveys suggest around 268 vehicles use the car park during an average summer week and the park also attracts many visitors on foot.
