About the park

The Peter Fidler Reserve is great to visit for a peaceful walk, the perfect picnic and an ideal place to see an amazing variety of wildlife.

From the reserve, visitors can enjoy walking, cycling or horse riding to Stockley Ponds, Doe Lea Nature Reserve or the adjoining Carr Vale Flash (opens in a new window) − a wetland reserve that is ranked among the top five sites in Derbyshire for birdwatching.

Snapshot surveys suggest around 510 vehicles use the car park during an average summer week and the park also attracts many visitors on foot.

What's available
