About the area
This is a car park providing access to the Chesterfield Canal in Staveley. Chesterfield Canal is widely recognised as one of the most beautiful and varied waterways in England. The towpath is called The Cuckoo Way and is ideal for walking along its entire 46 mile length from Chesterfield to West Stockwith in Doncaster.
It's estimated around 11,500 vehicles use the car park per year and the park also attracts many visitors on foot.
A hard-standing space in the car park to be let by competitive tender on a trial basis for one year with the potential of an annual renewal for up to three further years subject to a commercial licence.
