About the area

Located in the heart of the Peak District, Hayfield is the gateway for visitors walking the Sett Valley Trail leading to Kinder Scout − perhaps the most famous, challenging and rewarding walks in the Peak District National Park.

Kinder Scout is the highest point in the Peak District and offers unforgettable views, unique moorland and even a waterfall.

The village car park attracts around 6,000 vehicles per year and there are public toilets available on site.

A hard-standing space in the car park to be let by competitive tender for a period of three years − with the potential for a one year extension − and subject to a commercial licence
