What you can see at the museum
Wonders of the Peak - a journey through time and place, where you can explore Peak District lives and landscapes.
Boyd Dawkins Study − the recreated Victorian study of archaeologist and geologist William Boyd Dawkins, where you can discover more about local collectors and their collections.
A changing programme of exhibitions and displays by visiting artists and organisations or from our collections.
Opening times
Tuesday to Saturday: 10am to 5pm
Sundays and bank holidays (Easter to September only): midday to 4pm
Visit our shop
We stock colourful minerals, fascinating fossils and bespoke gifts inspired by the collections. We also sell a range of local history and special interest books.
