Standards

Information on the way we deal with planning applications and the standards we seek to achieve, are set out in our 'Planning Development Control Charter' which can be accessed on the processing applications page.

We are responsible for ensuring that developments that have been approved are carried out in accordance with the requirements imposed on permissions and that regular monitoring visits are made to sites to check operations.

Where operations or developments are being carried out without permission then it may be necessary for us to take enforcement action to prevent or regulate the activities.
