Working with disabilities

Girl being helped on rope course

Our team is dedicated to working with people with additional needs and we thrive on seeing what is possible when overcoming the barriers the outdoor environment can throw at us.

We believe that outdoor learning can give people with additional needs:

  • new experiences through an holistic approach to the outdoors
  • a new way of learning
  • a chance to express themselves outside the classroom or family environment
  • the opportunity to find hidden skills and talents
  • the chance to take part in inclusive activities with no barriers.

Our work with Special Educational Needs schools and groups has increased over the years. All our staff have been trained by specialists at the Calvert Trust (opens in a new window).
