Suggest a course
We work hard to put on programmes of learning that are interesting, relevant, up to date and that people want to sign up to. However we are always interested in new ideas and perspectives.
Though we can't guarantee that we'll be able to meet your request, part of how we know what the demand is for courses is from your feedback.
To suggest a course, email email@example.com with your suggestion and whereabouts in Derbyshire you live, or would like to learn – or speak with your local centre staff. We'll pass your suggestions on to our course programming team.
Feed back about your experiences
There are lots of ways that you can tell us about your experiences when learning with us. We welcome feedback from all our learners throughout the year and we use this information to continually improve our service to you.
Join our group of learner governors
We have a small group of currently active learners from around Derbyshire. They meet regularly and represent the learners' voice on the Derbyshire Adult Community Education Service Governance Board, which oversees and steers our service.
Each learner governor attends one governance board meeting in Matlock per year. If you're interested in joining this group, contact Elly Odam email firstname.lastname@example.org
Find a job with us
We regularly recruit adult education tutors and learner support assistants to our staff pools. We also have a range of support staff, without whom it wouldn't be possible to run. All our vacancies are advertised through the Derbyshire County Council jobs site. You can register on the site and get the system to email you with opportunities that match your keywords.
Volunteer with us
Volunteering is a great way to improve and demonstrate your skills and confidence, looks great on your CV, and helps you to develop and show the traits and commitment that employers are looking for. We regularly recruit volunteers for various roles around the county. Visit our volunteering page for more information and to apply.
