We're able to support learners from 16 years old upwards, if they live in England and are not in full time education, to apply for and successfully complete apprenticeships. Apprenticeships take a minimum of 12 months to complete and cover a range of job roles in a wide range of industries.
- earn a salary
- get paid holidays
- receive training
- gain qualifications
- learn job-specific skills
As employees of the company, apprentices earn a wage and work alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills. Apprentices also attend the college for off the job training on a day-release basis so that they are continually working towards a nationally recognised qualification.
Our apprenticeship programmes take between one and three years to complete depending on the type of apprenticeship and work you want to get. The minimum salary is currently £3.30 per hour, but many of our apprentices earn significantly more. You'll work a minimum of 30 hours a week.
We offer training in centres across Derbyshire. Our frameworks can include the following:
- children and people's workforce
- support for teaching and learning in schools (teaching assistant)
- business and administration
- customer service
- catering and professional chefs
- creative industries
We can also help to support you to improve your English, maths and computer skills.
