Get Creative courses can stimulate your creativity and imagination and give you the opportunity to develop an awareness of your surroundings and to enrich your life.
Creative courses can provide learners with the capacity for creative thinking and practical skills and offer the opportunity to develop social skills and self-confidence.
You can study at your own pace, either for leisure or to gain a qualification, with support from our tutors, many of whom are experts in their field.
Achievement in creative courses is well established and our centres have specialist facilities with high standards of student work.
We have a course to suit everyone from numerous crafts courses including embroidery, textiles, soft furnishings, jewellery, floristry, fashion and photography. Many of our Get Creative courses involve using recycled and repurposed materials, helping you to save money with your creativity and live more lightly – look out also for our range of Jazz up your Junk courses.
We also offer courses for creative businesses to help them to plan, market and run their businesses more effectively and we deliver tailor-made packages for other organisations and service providers such as Mental Health teams, Sure Start and the Youth Offending Service.
Many of our learners progress from leisure learning through to full level two qualifications opening the way to higher level courses or possible self-employment.
To find out what's on and what’s new, take a look at our course search or contact your local Adult Community Centre. You will find our leaflets in libraries and community venues across the county.
Our creative courses are very popular, so you are advised to enrol early to avoid disappointment – you can do this online or at a centre.
