Available in Clay Cross, Shirebrook, Glossop, Cotmanhay, Long Eaton and Alfreton. This programme is for any young people aged 16 to 19 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) or at risk of becoming NEET, children in care, and care leavers.
You would attend full time, usually across 3 days, with other young people. You'd be in a group of learners in the same age group, and study in a dedicated environment for the group, located in one of our adult community education centres.
On this programme you'd learn a core qualification, such as customer service, construction or childcare. You will also attend sessions for confidence building, personal development, employability skills, English, maths, and ICT skills to help you develop skills for the future.
Some of our full-time study programme learners attend their programme in one centre, but occasionally it can be across 2 centres, depending on what suits them and their area of interest. Other learners remain in the same learning centre for all 3 of their study days.
You'd take part in activities and projects to develop your skills for work, and learn in a supportive work placement. During the programme you'll gain appropriate work-related qualifications to help you progress into further education or employment.
If you'd like to find out more about these programmes, please contact the relevant adult community education centre.
