Due to unexpected staff shortages, High Peak Buses were unable to maintain all its services from Wednesday 27 January.
Working alongside local bus operators, we've secured the continued service of the following bus routes:
- 394 Glossop – Charlesworth – Marple – Stepping Hill Hospital to be operated by Hulleys of Baslow
- 113 Ashbourne – Hulland Ward – Belper to be operated by Hulleys of Baslow
- 442 Buxton – Longnor – Warslow – Hartington – Ashbourne to be operated by Andrews of Tideswell
Other changes include:
- 58 Buxton – Macclesfield to be operated by D & G Buses on a reduced timetable
Our Cabinet Member for Highways, Transport and Infrastructure Councillor Simon Spencer said:
“Although we’re currently in a national lockdown and there are fewer passengers using buses, these journeys are important for key and essential workers who have no other means of travel.
“We’re delighted these services which are normally provided on our behalf by High Peak Buses can continue and we hope they will be of benefit to residents in the High Peak who rely on them.
“I’d like to thank our staff for responding to this situation in such a short space of time and to the bus operators who have stepped in to help ensure these routes can continue until High Peak Buses are able to resume full operation.”
Some other High Peak bus services are operating on a reduced timetable. You can get more information about Derbyshire Public Transport Timetables or from High Peak Buses.
