We are proud to have achieved this recognition of our support for armed forces personnel past and present, and their families.
In order to be given the silver award, we had to demonstrate positive policies toward services personnel and the armed forces community in areas like recruitment, training, and support for armed forces reserves to take part in essential training.
We have also signed the Armed Forces Covenant, promising that people who serve - or have served - and their families, are treated fairly.
Our Civic Chairman and Armed Forces Champion, Councillor David Wilson, said:
“It’s wonderful to receive this recognition of the commitment we have made to our service men and women and their families. We’re very proud.”
The award ceremony will be held at the International Bomber Command Centre, near Lincoln on Thursday 13 October 2022.
