What this consultation is about
We're facing huge budget cuts and must find ways of saving £157m by 2018.
Reductions in Government grants, inflation and greater demands on areas of our budget for adult social care and vulnerable children mean we must re-think the way we deliver services.
It means some services will remain, some will be run differently but some will have to stop. We don’t want to cut any services but we have no choice.
We want to hear your views about one of the proposed changes to adult care services.
We are proposing to stop funding the Derbyshire Older People's Housing Options Service from spring 2015 when the contract ends, which would be a budget saving of £197,426 each year.
By completing the accompanying questionnaire, you can tell us:
- your views about these proposals
- your ideas about other ways we could save money in adult care.
The consultation is closed. A report was presented to Cabinet, 10 February 2015, agenda item eight.
