What this consultation is about
The participation strategy for children’s services has been agreed for 2017 to 2019. Next steps are to evaluate how well we currently support the participation of children and young people and for individual teams and services to develop action plans, where necessary.
This self- assessment begins the process for collecting evidence about participation activity across children’s services. We know that there is already much good practice happening within children’s services, however, we don’t always collect this information and use it to our advantage.
The information gathered will provide the baseline for establishing where your team/service is in relation to the participation of children and young people who you work with.
