Aiming High short breaks service

Status: Results available

Opens: 17 August 2015 - Closes: 6 November 2015

The Derbyshire Challenge

What this consultation is about

How we deliver Aiming High short breaks is under review. Reductions in Government grants, inflation and greater demands on areas of the budget for services that the council must provide means we must make £157m budget cuts by 2018 - based on 2013 figures. More cuts are expected to follow up to 2020.

Aiming High short break is one element of the wider short break offer. We consulted on the proposals to change Aiming High short breaks which could see some families receiving a reduced service.

Disabled children and their families were asked for their views on new proposals to help us to decide on the best way to make the necessary savings whilst continuing to deliver Aiming High short breaks.

The consultation is closed. A report was presented to Cabinet, 26 January 2016, agenda item 24.
