Our equality and diversity policy applies to all our employees and elected members. Our equality and diversity strategy sets out our priorities in relation to equality and diversity, the approach we will be taking to implement our policy and the commitments within our strategy.
We have recently adopted a revised policy for equality and diversity. The new policy was subject to consultation at the beginning of 2018, after which a small number of amendments were made to reflect the feedback we received.
The policy sets out our commitment to acting fairly, seeking to tackle discrimination and harassment, and to acknowledge the diversity of Derbyshire and its people. It helps set the tone for how you can expect to be treated as someone using our services, as a business or organisation working with us and as our employee.
We have also adopted a new strategy for equality and diversity. This strategy provides details on the approach we will be taking over the next few years to implement our policy, and includes an action plan which sets out in more detail, the action we will be taking.
