Pay particulars - essential information about your pay and expenses
They provide information of a general nature on pay, tax, National Insurance, etc.
Members of the public must not rely on the information, as it may not apply to their circumstances.
Did you know that Derbyshire County Council pays some 32,000 employees and 23,000 pensioners, and that some 860,000 payments are made each year?
Our aim is to make prompt and accurate payment, keep our standards high and provide a quality service.
If you have a query on your pay or pension payment, the first thing is to decide who to contact. It may not be the Payroll Office, for although we work closely with employing departments and the Inland Revenue, you may find that your query needs to be raised directly with them.
Payroll staff cannot answer queries on the payment of your expenses for travel or subsistence. Click on mileage and subsistence for further information.
However, should you wish to contact the Payroll Office between 9am and 5pm, our details are as follows:
County Treasurer
PO Box 3
County Hall
Matlock
Derbyshire
DE4 3AH
Tel: 01629 580000 (and ask for the extension shown on your payslip)
Fax: 01629 585331
If you wish to query your pay out of office hours, you can contact Call Derbyshire. Details of your query will be forwarded to either the Payroll Section or your Departmental Personnel Section. Should your query need to be raised elsewhere, you will be given advice on who to contact.
Monday to Friday - 8am to 9am and 5pm to 8pm
Saturday - 9.30am to 4pm
In order to comply with the Data Protection Act, we may not always be able to give details over the telephone and you may be asked to apply in writing.
To help us deal promptly with your query, you should always quote your payroll reference number which can be found towards the middle of your payslip on the right-hand side.
You may be able to find the information you need without contacting the Payroll Office by clicking on the relevant links.
