Mencap's Progression into Work programme
If you live in Derbyshire, are 18+ and have a learning disability Mencap's Progression into Work can help you to find paid work!
Progression into Work offers a 26 week program, tailored to your needs.
They can help you find paid work, voluntary work or help you to start high-quality further education courses.
They can also help you to travel more independently.
As a part of the programme they support you:
Trying out jobs (opens in a new window) − helping you to try out a job that you think you might like.
At work - they will go to new jobs with you so that you are not on your own and help you to learn new things and feel ok about the job.
Getting to work - they help you learn new routes on the bus or the train so that you can get to work.
With benefits - if you get a paid job they can tell you how your benefits will change and make sure that you will not end up being worse off.
Looking for jobs − they can help you to write letters, fill in forms and write a CV (a CV tells people all about you and any work you have done).
This project is partly funded through European Social Funding.
