Mencap's Employ Me in Derbyshire programme
Employ me in Derbyshire offers a 26 week program, tailored to your needs. A local appointment will be offered at a venue that is convenient for you.
The project will help you find paid work, voluntary work or help you to start high-quality further education courses.
The project also provides support with things like confidence building and using public transport.
Support includes:
Finding out what your options are and what support is available.
Agreeing an action plan.
Trying out jobs (opens in a new window) − helping you to try out a job that you think you might like.
Looking for jobs, making applications and preparing for interviews.
Getting to work and using transport.
Settling into work, helping you to learn new things and feel ok about the job and making sure you get support within the workplace.
Advice about benefits and making sure that you will not end up being worse off.
Working with others in your support network to make sure they understand you employment goals and can help you meet those goals.
