Transport Asset Management Plan
The Transport Asset Management Plan sets out the aims for improving Derbyshire's roads and transport assets such as; carriageways and footways, gullies, drains, road markings as well as road signs, safety fencing, pedestrian barriers and street lighting.
The plan highlights improvements we need to make in our knowledge of the extent and location of our highways assets, in order to improve our understanding of the lifecycle, maintenance and costs and consider how best to maintain, dispose or change them.
A survey was undertaken in 2008/09 across Derbyshire to locate and count all our highways and transport assets. We use this information to help us improve efficiency in delivering the highways and transport network.
