Vandalism and graffiti
We have a responsibility to ensure that the highway is safe and that the items it maintains are repaired or cleaned when vandalised.
Incidents of vandalism to road signs, street furniture, bridges and retaining walls should be reported via Call Derbyshire on 08 456 058 058.
Inspections will be carried out by us and the appropriate remedial works ordered.
Graffiti of an obscene or racist nature on council structures, road signs or other street furniture will be removed within 24 hours. Graffiti of any other type on signs will be cleared or the signs replaced within three months.
If you would like to report a fault, such as a vandalised sign or graffiti, please contact us describing the nature and location of the fault in as much detail as possible.
It is useful if you would leave your contact details should one of our inspectors need to clarify the exact location of a fault.
