Transport & roads
As part of International Walk to School month, to promote the benefits of sustainable travel to school, we would like to encourage pupils and parents to Travel Smart during the week 19-23 October.
To coincide with the end of British Summer Time and the darker evenings we chose the theme of 'Go with a Glow.'
We encouraged pupils to:
walk
cycle
car share
park and stride
or use public transport.
Finding ways to Travel Smart helps the environment and combat climate change as well as encouraging people to be more active.
As part of the week we also encouraged pupils to make and wear something 'hi-vis' to Be Safe, Be Seen while travelling smart.
Pictured are pupils from Ladycross Infants and Mugginton CE Primary all dressed to go with a glow! How did you go with a glow? Send us your photos to roadsafety@derbyshire.gov.uk.
