Renew your Gold Card

Most Gold Cards are valid for up to five years but many will start to expire in the coming months. Check the expiry date on your card now and make sure it's still valid. The online renewal will be temporarily unavailable between Wednesday 20 and Monday 25 September 2017. Please contact your district or borough council to renew during this time.

You can apply to renew your Gold Card if:

  • your current card is due to expire before November
  • your name and address have not changed
  • you have a card due to age
  • you do not need to provide evidence of your continuing eligibility.
If your current card expires after November 2017, your name or address have changed and you have a Gold Card due to a disability where you need to provide continuing proof of eligibility, please contact your district, borough or Derby City Council − the area where you pay council tax - for advice on when or how to renew.

If you've moved out of Derbyshire or Derby city altogether you will no longer be entitled to a Derbyshire Gold Card. You'll still qualify for the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme pass in your new local authority area.
