The many Community transport schemes in Derbyshire offer transport services for disabled people in Derbyshire:
Travelling by train
Special assistance is available for disabled or mobility-impaired people travelling by train. If you need special assistance, contact the appropriate train operating company, giving them 24 hours' notice of your journey. They will then arrange help for you at each stage of your journey, and reserve a seat for you, if reservations are available.
Disabled people can take advantage of Railcards which give discounts on train fares - further advice and information is available on the National Rail website (opens in a new window).
