Community Transport in South Derbyshire

Community Transport (Swadlincote) is based in Swadlincote and provides a service for disabled people, the elderly and community groups who have difficulty using and accessing public transport.

The scheme has a fleet of 16 minibuses, all accessible and fitted with tail lifts; the service offered includes Dial-a-Bus, Dial-a-Ride and Group Travel Services for the Swadlincote and South Derbyshire area.

Dial-a-Bus

The scheme operates a Dial-a-Bus door-to-town shopping service for people unable to use public transport.
The Dial-a-Bus service operates from Monday to Saturday.

People who need to travel in wheelchairs may do so and passengers are encouraged to bring their own escorts. Fares are subsidised by Derbyshire County Council.

Group Travel

Groups are encouraged to affiliate to the scheme. Driver instruction is available.
