Bakewell and Eyam Community Transport

Bakewell and Eyam Community Transport is a registered charity based in Bakewell.  The scheme operates Dial-a-Bus, Community Bus, Group Transport, Dial-a-Ride and Car Scheme Services in the High Peak and Dales area of Derbyshire, from Buxton and the Hope Valley in the North to Matlock in the South.

Bakewell and Eyam Dial-a-Bus Services 
Dial-a-Bus services are provided in the Bakewell, Baslow, Eyam, Tideswell and Buxton areas to provide journeys to Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock and Chesterfield for people unable to use ordinary public transport.

  • Monday am from Calver, Grindleford, Eyam and Tideswell areas to Buxton. 
  • Monday pm from Bakewell area, Longstones and Taddington areas to Buxton. 
  • Wednesday am from Eyam, Calver, Curbar  to Bakewell.
  • Thursday am from Hathersage, Bamford, Bradwell and Tideswell  to Buxton. 
  • Alternate Thursdays am from Winster, Youlgreave and Monyash  to Buxton. 
  • Friday am from Baslow, Rowsley and Youlgreave to Bakewell.

Community Bus Services are open to all members of the community.  Fares are in line with public transport, and reductions are available to holders of DCC Gold Cards.  Seats should be booked in advance on (01629)814889. 

  • Grindleford, Eyam, Calver and Hassop areas to Bakewell town centre. 
  • Grindleford, Eyam, Calver, Baslow areas to Sainsburys/Tesco, Chesterfield. 
  • Alternate Fridays/evenings from Great Longstone, Ashford, Bakewell, Youlgreave, Rowsley and Matlock areas to Sainsburys/Tesco, Chesterfield. 
  • First Saturday of each month from the Grindleford, Eyam, Calver, Baslow and Edensor areas to Chesterfield town centre. 
  • Third Saturday morning of each month from the Great Longstone, Ashford, Bakewell, Youlgreave and Darley Dale areas to Chesterfield town centre.

Group Transport 
Local Community organisations may affiliate to the Scheme and use the Community Transport vehicles.
