Ashbourne Voluntary Car Scheme operated by Ashbourne Volunteer Bureau
The service covers Ashbourne, Wirksworth, villages and hamlets of the Southern Derbyshire Dales.  It provides door-to-door transport for medical and health related appointments for elderly, disabled and disadvantaged people who find it difficult to  access to public transport.  Clients are requested to make a donation towards the cost based on mileage incurred.  For further details telephone (01335) 344700 between 10.00 and 13.00 on Mondays to Fridays ( an answering machine at all other times) or write to Ashbourne Volunteer Bureau, Ashbourne Business Centre, Dig Street, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, DE6 1GF.
