Family support centres
When families of younger children need extra help we have family support centres across the county to offer support.
We have to see that your family needs this service and this is by an assessment.
Your health visitor or school may support you to have an assessment or you can call our contact centre Call Derbyshire on 08 456 058 058 as your first step.
The centres work closely with local children's centres to offer a specific service for those in greatest need.
They will develop a plan with you of what service will be provided in your own home or at the centre.
The centres aim to involve parents and this will be usually by talking through with you what works for you and making sure you have choice wherever possible.
They provide a quality service that has been recognised as such and has a number of quality awards. The standards the centres work to are detailed in the document in the related documents section.
All family support centres are reviewed by a Quality Assurance Service manager - a copy of their report is available from the centre.
