NHS screening programmes

The NHS offers five main screening programmes for breast cancer, cervical cancer, bowel cancer, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and diabetic eye screening.

NHS health checks

Did you know that if you're aged between 40 and 74 then you are entitled to a free NHS Health check? The health check aims to reduce your chance of developing serious diseases such as diabetes or heart disease. Find out more on our health checks page.

Helping you to stay safe, well and happy in your own home is important to us. That's why there are lots of services on hand to keep you confident in your own home.

Our Trusted Trader scheme allows you to find reputable tradespeople for anything from accountancy to plumbing.

Our Handy Van network a service making it safer for older and vulnerable people to live in their own homes.

The scheme, for people aged 60 and over, offers help with things like home fire safety checks, fitting smoke alarms, small DIY projects and more.

Foot care

Foot care for older people has an impact on a wide range of health issues.

Uncared for feet and toenails can affect mobility, balance, confidence and lead to long-term complications.

Working in partnership with Age UK Derby and Derbyshire, Tootsies aims to provide an affordable, long term solution foot care for people aged 50 and over.
