Emergency help for vulnerable people
During periods of bad weather, if neighbours, family and friends can't help you, we do our best to help keep you safe and warm and get you out and about.
How can we help?
Here are just a few examples of some of the things we've done in the past to help vulnerable people during periods of bad weather.
We organised prescription collections and deliveries
Volunteers were organised to clear snow from roads so a funeral could take place
We worked together to get people to their hospital appointments for important treatments
We teamed up with countryside rangers and volunteers to get home helps, food and medication to vulnerable people
Our office based staff went into communities to carry out safe and well checks.
We organised volunteers to clear snow from pavements so pensioners can get access to vital services.
