We offer day services over 5 days a week to people with higher moderate to critical needs.
We have well planned, physically and mentally stimulating activities to suit each individual, for example socialising, arts, music, singing, quizzes, gardening, animal workshops and many more.
We also offer a range of specialised exercise programmes designed to strengthen the body which has been shown to help prevent falls.
If required, you will receive assistance and support with personal care including assistance with bathing. Our skilled and caring staff are fully trained in person-centred dementia care and hold regular carer’s meetings.
We run a topic focus each moth which covers local and national initiatives like healthy eating, pressure ulcer awareness and living well with dementia programmes. Memory based activities are also encouraged to enhance well-being, independence and the maintenance of present skills and abilities.
Other medical services are available to day care users on site including nail care, nursing, occupational therapy, health checks and venepuncture.
As we work alongside many different agencies, we are well placed to signpost you or your carer to services that may be needed.
The day centre provides a 2-course meal at lunch time which is freshly prepared on our premises.
