Rangers at the Derbyshire County Council run park are putting together an exhibition about the history of the park, including the Miller-Mundy family who used to live on the site and the mining heritage.
Strategic director of environmental services Ian Stephenson said: “We want to hear from people who have past connections with the site. If anyone has any old photographs, written memories or newspaper cuttings we would like to scan them and add them to the exhibition.
“We’d also like to hear from anyone who either worked at the hall or as a miner on the site. We’d like to record their memories on tape.
Anyone with any information should contact Michelle or Lesley at the Shipley Country Park Visitors Centre on 01773 719961.
