Heanor and District 50 plus forum are meeting to hold a discussion on health concerns.
The meeting is on Wednesday 4 June at Heanor Senior Citizens Welfare Centre, Wilmot Street between 1.30 and 4pm
Guest speaker John Floyd from Derbyshire Health United will attend to answer questions on various health issues. There will also be an open discussion on any health concerns people may have.
Leaflets on all topics will be available along with free light refreshments and there will also be a raffle held.
The Heanor and District 50+ forum is one of 14 forums across the county that are up and running and supported by Derbyshire County Council and its well-being team.
The forums meet on a regular basis to discuss various topics, listen to speakers, plan action campaigns and swap ideas and views.
All the forums have been helped to set up by the council’s well-being team which helps members with administration and organising meetings as well as providing financial support.
Derbyshire County Council’s cabinet member for adult social services David Allen said: “The 50 plus forums are a great place for people to meet up.
“As well as offering a wide variety of advice and information they are an opportunity for people to discuss any thoughts or concerns they might have.”
